Design is one of the most critical parts in any form of Engineering. An engineer must know how to design his system that will conform to quality, within the financial and other limits and deliver the optimum efficiency.

Design engineering is a collaborative study where technical knowledge is blended with aesthetic senses meeting the purposes of the product. Design engineering not only considers the technical aspects involved in the process, but it also takes marketing and consumers’ need into consideration. Design engineering techniques are first used to design the prototype of the product and after each ‘test run’ the design is reviewed considering technical, ergonomic and aesthetic aspects of the product are finalized for production.
