Interactive design falls within the umbrella of artistic design, as it is more concerned with the process of imaginative and creative synthesis of ideas more than on the scientific and empirical notion of how things are. Interactive design deals with creating interactive products, services and systems for digital media.
It is more interested in the behavior of the product than the form. Designing an interactive product needs great emphasis on the satisfaction of the product user. Therefore, the design should be user-centered and appropriate for the consumer. An expressive interface design can inculcate creative, motivational, influential, and positive responses. Design aspects such as use of icons, sound, graphics, animation, color pallets, and fonts can influence the perception of an interface’s effectiveness, which can eventually lead to attracting and influencing user’s perception about the product.
