Photography is a combination of science and art covering a wide range of fields through equally varying modes. It has evolved from a simple pin-hole concept to film strip and now to a digital mode. A professional photographer in turn can deal with wildlife, fashion, nature, movies, and much more. Whether it is still or video photography, one common feature in both is the articulation of the images with quality designs.

Designs in photography can be varied. It can mean the settings of the image to be photographed in the pre-production stage such as arranging the sets, environments, etc. It can also refer to post production designing like retouching colors, sizes and so on. A good photograph with the right mix of designs both at the pre and post production stages is the hallmark of a good photography. Designs need not be a complete manipulation through virtual software but an aesthetic addition and editing to a natural image.
