The Art of Fashion in “The Hamptons Guild Hall Summer Gala”

by Admin on August 27th 2010

August 23, 2010 -- The Guild Hall Summer Gala was honoring Marjorie F. Chester, and featured Tory Burch, Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Reed Krakoff, Ralph Lauren, Nicole Miller, Elie Tahari, and Vera Wang - all designers who have ties to Eastern Long Island, and many who are staples in the Hamptons. They were featured along with artists such as Robert Wilson, Stephan Weiss and Arthur Becker in "The Art of Fashion in the Hamptons," an exhibition celebrating art and fashion and life on the East End of Long Island.

Joining these fashion greats were Liam McMullan, fiance Aesha Waks, Fern Mallis, Bill Cunningham, and Patti Cohen. The event was followed by alfresco dining on the property of Tony Ingaro and Randy Kemper, and included a live auction and dancing.

The show was co-curated by Pamela Fiori, editor in chief, Town & Country, and Stan Herman, designer and past president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
